Yes, this is Robert Crumb’s artwork, but, the KC6WQJ is mine. I was asked to copy the lettering underneath the portrait exactly so that it would look like Crumb’s, who was a local friend of the person in this drawing. Crumb had moved to France after doing this artwork, but BEFORE the subject received his Hamm radio operator’s license number. I was able to use some tricks to copy the style and, at the age of nineteen, completed my first paid graphic design gig.
