312 Main Street ~ Placerville, California
Custom, hand painted window sign for the hot new salon nestled within the historic Cary House in Old Hangtown featuring brushed gloss enamels and hand-applied gold leaf.
This hand painted sign features hand made lettering and typeset Olde English with rose borders and gold leaf accents all painted directly on the glass backside, in reverse order, of course. Its colors are set off by a black velvet backing with a special treatment of the back of the frame, as well, featuring some witchy upholstering and a custom street-inspired stencil. You’ll have to visit the Halo at 434 Main Street, Placerville, if you want to see that part.

Commissioned by the Blackwell family and the City of Placerville in 2003, this mural celebrates the legendary Hangtown icon Jon "Snowshoe" Thompson, who heroically carried mail, medicine, and supplies between Sacramento,California and Genoa, Nevada on his famous handmade ten foot long skies.
